sick of it too!

Well, Chase finally got it too!! I'm actually surprised he stayed healthy as long as he did. He started with too familiar symptoms on sunday afternoon. Monday's visit to the dr. made it official....strep. I immediately called my dr and got antibiotics for Me and Mike as well to nip it it the bud. ENOUGH OF THIS STREP STUFF! Could the world please do me a favor and wash and PURELL OFTEN and teach your kids to do the same. Thank you!

Chase likes to have a snack after school and today was no different. He had cookies and so I gave him a big cup of milk to go with them. Of course he ate a lot of cookies and drank only a few sips of his milk......we seem to be wasting a lot of milk lately because it sets out too long. So I put his cup of milk in the frig. Well, a little later, he had to get dressed for baseball practice. Brooke and I were playing outside. Chase opened the front door asking" mom, where's my cup?" I replied "I put it in the frig" Chase: "you what?!!" Me; "I put it in the frig to keep it cold!" Chase: "MOM! you put my cup in the frig, why did you do that?!!" Me: because you waste too much milk. Chase: "mom, I'm talking about my CUP to wear for ball practice!!" Me: "OHHHHHHHHHH, that cup.....it's in your dresser drawer. Well, anyway we got a very good laugh!!!!

45 years of marriage!!

This past weekend my mom and dad celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary!!! Wow, what an awesome thing in this day and age!! We celebrated at Mimi's Cafe for dinner and went back to their house, where we had cake and watched a video of their 45 years together. Congrats mom and dad on making such a milestone in your marriage and for showing us kids such a great example of how to be successful in our relationships with our spouses!

SICK OF IT!!

What I'm about to tell you, I tell you with the most confidence and certainty! This past week I've been the sickest I've EVER been in my life...yes even LABOR seems like a day basking in the warm, sun soaked sand compared to this week!! I thank God that I've been so healthy and cannot imagine what people with chronic illnesses feel like.....but if it's anything like what I experienced...wow! I was in bed for approx. 55 hours straight and was so sore from the bed, but couldn't do anything else! Mike and my parents were lifesavers!! And Kelli a real blessing as well! Went to the DR yesterday and I have strep of all things (no sorethroat, everything but, go figure!!) Oh, now Brooke is sick too. Here's a pic of us today, how we really feel about this SICK STUFF!!

15 years!!!!!

Michael and I were married 15 years ago today!!!! WOW, how time flies by when you're having fun! Mike and I were high school sweethearts - we started dating during our junior year and became serious our senior year. We had some difficult times (who doesn't) when we went to different colleges. But we stayed true to eachother and married April 3, 1993. A dog and 2 children later.....we are BEYOND BLESSED!! I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else, J'ADORE TU MICHEAL!!
