Last night Chase and I went on our annual date together at the Mother/Son dance. It is held at the Ballwin golf course, includes dinner, dancing, a craft, picture with my sweetheart, and there was also a magic show. Chase thought that was sooooo cool, as he loves to put on magic shows of his own. I love having the evening to just focus on him - it's a breath of fresh air to me because daily life keeps those "just the two of us times" at a minimum. One of my favorite parts of the night is dancing. Chase takes after Mike, he's an awesome dancer.....Chase was break dancing, sliding across the floor and imitating his guitar hero game....it was so fun to watch!!! Us moms also got to show the boys(our dates) how the electric slide, macarana, and duck dance are done!! What a site that was, I'm sure. We also all did that dance"everybody clap your hands"...is it the electric slide 2?? It was fun. Anyway....nights like last night are the highlights of life to me, what better way to spend the evening than with my precious boy, whom is getting too old too quick. I dread the day that he DOESN'T want to go with his mom to the mother/son dance. But for now, it's our annual 'date' that both of us look forward to!!
