HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY CHASE!!!!! I cannot believe you have reached double digits, a decade, one of life's many milestones. How did this happen soooo quickly?? Just a few words from your mother on this 19th day of May. You were born at 9:35am. And I can say without a doubt that that day was and will always be one of the BEST days of my life. The first time I held you and looked into your sweet little face......and kissed your face....Life doesn't get any better than moments like that! You have been such a blessing to dad and I. Your curiosity that started from such an early age, as to HOW things worked. You had a ton of transformers that you could change so fast, right out of the box. You have always asked so many questions on how things work, or why things are. You are so intelligent, school comes so easy to you. And I love the fact that you set your alarm every morning for 6:30, get up on your own, get dressed, and READ!!!!! WOW. You are a lover of books just like your Grandpa Deemer. You are such a caring and compassionate young man. You are always looking out for the younger kids, as well as Brooke. Making sure, everyone is safe and won't get hurt. Please never lose that compassion in life!! I love that you love to go to church and worship. I love that you love the guitar. I am amazed how quick you are on the computer!! I love that you still love your favorite stuffed animal, Cheetah, and sleep with him, since you got him at age 3. Chase, we love you so very much. and wish you a Happy 10th Birthday. We are so proud you are our son, and are so thankful that God chose US to be YOUR parents!!

Well, I am FINALLY done with - what was supposed to be a minor, quick, facelift - of our master bath. I use the term MASTER bath quite loosely, because there really is nothing master about it. It is probably even smaller than our hall bath. But, after being sick for 2 weeks, during the facelift, and then having "tacky" problems with my paint......it is done!! Again, I just painted the vanity and the cabinet over the toilet, a chocolate brown and put new hardware on. I also got a new mirror and made a window mistreatment from a shower curtain I found on clearance and some wide brown ribbons. Mike was a little nervous when I called and told him I found the perfect window covering.....but it was a shower curtain. I told him just to go with it. I am pleased how it turned out. Yesterday, the kids and I had the priveledge of spending the day at the Humane Society of Missouri's Long Meadow Rescue Ranch, which is a big farm where many of animals can call a safe haven. Many of them ended up there for many reasons, the biggest one being, neglect by past owners. They have about 50 horses, goats, donkeys, ducks, roosters, cows, and even a giant pig named Snortin Nortin!! Many of the horses from the Hwy 44 accident a few months back ended up there for rehab and many are now adopted to loving homes. One horse from that accident they named Will for his will to live. While another never would have lived if it wasnt for the humane society, who saved his mom and her unborn baby...now a Beautiful brown and white horse!! If you don't know about the accident, it involved a huge tractor trailer hauling hundreds of horses, that were to be illegally sold for glue, etc. Luckily, the truck was involved in a minor accident, which (I believe, Devinely) happened so that the shadey practice was uncovered!! Now, those horses are living out their full lives, happy, bc of the efforts of the MO Humane Society and The Long Meadow rescue Ranch. The ranch is open to the public every Saturday from 11-3. So take your family out there this summer, you will love the peace and serenity out there. It is located in Union Missouri. Oh, and by the way, did I mention, that if I ever come into a huge amount of money, I am going to have a horse!!! Dream a little dream with me....

This weekend was the annunal Carnival at Chase's school. It is always a fun, family time. Brooke and Chase's favorite things were, the blow up giant slide and the cross bow target shooting. These lovely glasses that our whole family is wearing, were the prize for the later event!! Fun times!!
