Up for the challenge

Yesterday was my first official day of my diet. It went very well. I worked which helped keep snacks to a minimum. I find it helpful to eat every couple of hours, with healthy foods. Anyway, last night the biggest loser was on, which gave me some incentive. after that I flipped to Discovery health channel and watched Their National Body Challenge. This morning i went online and signed up at Discovery health.com to join the Body challenge myself. You have to put in all your measurements, weight age, etc and then they give you a chance to set your first weight loss goal. Mine is to lose 16 pounds in the next 8 weeks. they give you meal plans, and how much cardio you should do each day. Also, they give you FREE access to all kinds of mini workout videos online. There are warmup videos, beginner, intermed, etc. I am excited, and hope to make my DAILY exercise a priority and part of my routine. You may ask,"Carol, its 1pm, have you done it yet today??" Well, thank you for asking, NO - not yet. It's been a crazy busy day and I have to jump in the shower and head off to work. It is gonna be a challenge. But I am hoping that joining the free club it will give me incentives.. OH YEAH, you also get a FREE 30 day pass to Bali, pretty cool. http://discoveryhealth.com

Okay I am starting my diet tomorrow, later today and I heading out to the store to get all the diet food that I need. This morning I was trying to figure out what meal I wanted to make for dinner, kind of like my last supper, ha ha! Cory is TOTALLY dreading this because he knows that means I won't be cooking those yummy meals very much anymore. Oh well I have to do what is best for me right now.

Hi Carol,
So glad I found your blog! It's a great way to catch up on your life. I read about Spanky (I'm sorry) I had the same experience two years ago with my first "child", Hopper. Dogs are the best and it's so hard when they get old. I prayed that Hopper would go to heaven, too. How could they not? They are so perfectly made. I'm glad Dewey is keeping you company now. I have a blog too but I don't post frequently. I still need to post Christmas pictures!
Chris
