Christmas is in 2 months!!

Did that title grab your attention, or what. Seriously, less than 2 months and Christmas will be here. I love to shop for presents, but who doesn't. Especially when you could just whip out the ole charge card and shop til you drop. BUT, this year is different. It is the first time in a long time that we can spend only what we have. Yikes. We had the kids start to make out their lists already so I can start to look and plan. Brooke and I actually went to KMart on sunday. It is NOT my favorite place to shop. It is a drab looking store and you cannot find someone to help you for the life of you. However, they do LAYAWAY. I saw the ads for that, and thought, that is what we will do this year. Is anyone else out there old enough to remember what layaway actually is??!! I remember working at Brook's Fashion as a teenager and people would come in all the time to pay on their merchandise in layaway. I am happy to be back in the 80's in that respect. It will feel very freeing to not be bogged down with major credit card bills after the fun of the season is gone. I got ALL of my shopping done for Chase!! And so far, it has only cost me $30.00!! yes, it will be much more after I make all the payments. but, how fun!! Does anyone know of any other stores out there that do layaway. Please let me know. And happy shopping, the clock is ticking.

That ticking sound is slowly getting louder and louder!! YIKES! I have ME done already... does that count?? Yes, I finally broke down and ordered the CRICUT Expressions machine from QVC with exclusive bells and whistles. I've only been looking at this machine for the past two years! Hey, speaking of Christmas, how about some new tunes on your blog - not that I don't love some "Fabulous" (which I admit to singing along as I type this)

Hey neighbor I am pretty sure that Walmart does Layaway too don't they? My aunt works there and I am pretty sure she metioned it around the holidays last year.
We too have started thinking about what we are going to get the girls and the relatives are already asking for ideas, yikes!! That is the hard part because I have to think of things to give them from us and then enough for others to give them as well.

Ugh! I can't believe it's almost here. Lee only gets paid once a month now so we only have two more paychekcs until Christmas and I haven't started shopping. Sssooo...looks like it will be a light Christmas this year.

I bought a Cabbage Patch doll on layaway. I still have it too. Love layaway.

AND I love the armoir. It looks great! And yay for the hardwood floors. Fun!

See ya!

Hey is bigsis Kathy? If so, Kathy you will ♥ the Cricut Expression!

I was just thinking the same thing about Christmas & layaway & Kamart. Carole, I could of wrote your post :) I wish more stores did layaway. Walmart out here used to but they stopped a few years ago. I just found out the other day that Marshalls does though-do you have those there? Sometimes you can find some really good deals there. Hope all is well with all of you.
